For the second year in a row, WINGMAN had the honour to host a lecture for the students of the Trends & Identity master of the Zurich University of Arts. Focusing on the essence of cultural insight in the craft of relevant creative & brand strategies.
Sharing offices with Ferry van Zijderveld resulted in many talks about his many creative endeavours, including his partnership in praised design agency Hotel.
Another project of Ferry is Ruyzdael, a creative platform expressing through music and events, while having collaborations with Patta and Sonos.
Wanting to make next steps with Ruyzdael and its venture into fashion, I conducted a face to face session, discussing cultural and strategic steps that Ruyzdael should consider moving forward while growing its culture.

Guy Blanken, the man behind TALISMANN and Makam, is my long time best friend, initially bonding over our shared love for electronic music. Visiting a rave (Concept, Statenhal, 2001) that simply changed the course of our lives for good.
Ever since his first steps as a dj and producer, I was right there beside him. From his first gig or his first release, we together patiently planned his musical path. Guiding Guy to become a highly respected musician, headlining leading parties and festivals all around the globe.
Together we created the platform called TALISMANN, to celebrate and manifest Guy’s deep love for the more primal side of rave and techno music. In collaboration with creative genius Steven van Lummel, we brought to life the complete concept around TALISMANN.
Having a love affair with the harder styles of electronic music, I was only surprised that a Parisian guy called Paul wanted to do something around ‘gabber’. The infamously raw music grew from a small party in Rotterdam into a global culture. Having its distinct sound and aesthetics influence popular culture and (haute couture) fashion in countless ways.
Paul wanted to celebrate this culture and I wanted to help him.
This resulted in GABBER, a cultural exhibition hosted in Point Ephémère, Paris. Inviting many respected artists, such as Boris Postma, Pinar & Viola, Marije Kuiper and more to in order to pay tribute to the hardest culture in the world.
